Let’s create jobs.

What if the work we need hasn't been invented yet?

Every day, people encounter problems, imagine possibilities and discover things worth sharing. Somewhere else, there are people with the skills, knowledge and resources to do something about them.

CHOB explores what happens when we bring these things together.

People connecting evidence, ideas and opportunities.

Useful work may be hiding in plain sight.

CHOB starts with knowledge, problems and possibilities — not a job advert or a commissioning brief.

Individuals, communities and organisations can contribute throughout. Investigation helps connect what is known with the capabilities and resources that might make a difference.

Some investigations may lead to genuinely new, bounded, paid work: a chob. Others may reveal useful work without a viable route to funding. Both are worth understanding.

Follow the 30-day experiment as it happens.

Each entry separates verified discoveries, editorial interpretation and open questions. It records what CHOB is investigating, rather than advertising available jobs.

What do you know that might create an opportunity?

Find Your CHOB is a lightweight first step towards conversational investigation. It is for knowledge, observations, problems and possibilities — from individuals, communities and organisations.

It is not yet accepting submissions. Before it does, CHOB will set clear terms for consent, privacy, storage, moderation and contributor rights.

Find Your CHOB

An evolving experiment, not an employment platform.

CHOB explores how knowledge, capabilities and resources might be connected differently. Existing money may be redirected; new value or alternative funding arrangements may emerge. A customer or budget is not required before a possibility is investigated.

But discovering worthwhile work does not make it financially viable. CHOB does not claim to have established a new employment system, and an investigation is not a completed chob unless it becomes bounded, paid work.
